NIGHT uses affron® which is standardised to a minimum of 3.5% active components, known as lepticrosalasides, and is the most clinically backed saffron ingredient worldwide.

Studies show affron® consumption increases melatonin levels. This will work synergistically with montmorency tart cherry whose rich procyanidin-B2 levels increase tryptophan availability as tryptophan is the precursor to melatonin synthesis.

Glycine is an amino acid that works as a neurotransmitter in the brain influencing how we sleep. (ix) 3g Glycine ingestion before bed shortens sleep latency, increases sleep efficiency, and reduces daytime sleepiness in healthy adults, as well as helping people cope with sleep loss.(xi) These sleep-promoting effects appear to be mediated through activity on our body clocks causing a decrease in the core body temperature.

Unlike other common sleep aids, no negative or hangover effects are observed with descriptions of “liveliness and peppiness”, and “clear-headedness” being noted by individuals on how they felt the next day.(xii) Beyond sleep, Glycine must be considered an essential amino acid for active individuals because the capacity of its synthesis is much lower than its actual need. Increasing glycine in the diet improves cartilage regeneration by means of enhancing collagen synthesis improving the health of bones, tendons, ligaments and skin.(xiii)
